Shelby’s Shelf was built from lived experience — not theory. Shelby came into our lives as a rescue, and her journey showed us how complicated animal care can be. Over the years, we’ve welcomed three rescue animals into our home and helped many more cats & dogs (even a bird and some guinea pigs), experiencing firsthand how stressful it can be to find the right resources quickly.
That’s why Shelby’s Shelf exists: a one-stop place to shop the shelf for what you need, when you need it. Here you’ll find wellness guidance, rescue & foster resources, emergency food and care options, low-cost clinics, and Tennessee-specific animal welfare laws — all the groundwork has been done so you don’t have to search endlessly.
